Tao’s – Asian Fusion comfort food

Venture through Zurich’s old town and discreetly tucked away at the end of the alley you will find the entrance to this paradise of Asian-fusion cuisine.

The Atmosphere:

If there’s one thing that stands out at Tao’s it’s its overwhelming cosines. Tao’s Asian décor and dimly lit dining rooms in a warm and relaxing atmosphere make it an Asian oasis in Zurich’s city center. In the summer, it offers an inviting, lush bamboo garden. The menu is proudly fusion, a mix of Asian and Western influences. Its international vibe, Asian décor and relaxed yet stylish ambiance make it a high end hang out for expats and city bankers.To top it all off, the service is attentive but not too over-bearing.

The menu:

The starters consist of a selection of Asian inspired dishes such as Dim Sums, Spring rolls and Tuna Tartar. Zuri Girl recommends the Thai Curry Soup with coriander – it’s simply perfect for a cold day and will warm you up within seconds. The menu offers a vast selection of fusion inspired main courses such as a Tuna Steak or the Chicken Teriyaki and you can choose amongst various side dishes. On the menu you will also find tenderloin steaks and as well as a surf and turf alternative. For desert try the bento box – we won’t lift the secret of what is actually inside – just so much: it is not to be missed.

The list of wines is well selected and offers a reasonable choice of wines by the glass. Tao’s is sophisticated and relaxed at the same time. Delicious food in a great ambiance – what’s there not to love?
