A Taste of Valencia

Valencia is Spain’s third largest city.This dreamy Spanish town at the Costa Blanca has an adorable medieval old town.

The city center is relatively small and Valencia’s famous Catedral as well as la Plaza de la Virgen can be visited in a couple of hours.

Where to eat:

Paella lovers will be well catered for at the many restaurants specialized in Paella.

The “Sagardi” offers a good alternative.

On the lower floor the restaurant serves Tapas. Upstairs it offers a reasonable selection of meat and fish dishes. Cider is freshly drawn from the restaurants barrels and served as a discretionary aperitif

Where to stay:

“Caro” hotel opened up just a year ago and is located in the center of Valencia’s old town. The building, originally a marquis palace, has been beautifully refurbished and offers a  sophisticated  modern elegance. Each room is individual and relates back to the original lay out of the building, a QR Code outside of the room provides more background information. Staff at the reception is very attentive, helpful and friendly.
