Restaurant Review Spice Rigiblick

Spice – Culinary Pampering

This Gault Millau and Michelin starred restaurant offers fantastic cuisine and a beautiful view. On the ground floor it hosts the bistro Quadrino. Upstairs it features an airy and bright dining room.

The atmosphere: The dining room’s modern interior and its dark wooden floor and chairs coupled with the white table cloth create an elegant however slightly impersonal feel. In the summer, the restaurant offers a beautiful terrace with a great view. We are greeted by the chef of service and led to our table. Our waitress of the evening is friendly however the service comes across a bit rehearsed.

The Menu: The menu offers 9 courses including 2 main courses and 2 deserts. You can choose a minimum of 3 courses which include a number of additional fabulous Amuse Gueules. The menu changes regularly and offers playful and very sophisticated yet unpretentious cuisine. Each course features three main ingredients of which some might come across quite unusual like the sardine with veal tartar. Nevertheless, unlike some of his Michelin starred colleagues, Dennis Purchert, the restaurant’s chef, does not seem to be on a culinary ego trip. He and his crew are committed to offering fantastic food which will tease your taste buds.

Conclusion: Spice Rigiblick is by far Zurich’s best Michelin starred restaurant and offers an excellent venue for a romantic dinner.
