Restaurant Greulich – Review

Restaurant Greulich

Hotel restaurants are usually associated with uniformity and a lack of creativity. This would certainly not be a fair description of Restaurant Greulich. Its unusual name matches the color of the building in – you might have guessed – dark grey. After a bit of coming and going in Greulich’s kitchen the restaurant has now settled for simple yet modern cuisine

Atmosphere:

The restaurant, characterized by warm lighting with an edgy 60’s retro style and large windows remotely evokes the idea of a classy 60’s diner. Earthy colors and elegant yet simple interior create a very pleasant and relaxed ambiance. The service is young, friendly and very quick and will make you feel at ease in an instance.

The Menu:

The menu is straightforward but offers a good choice. You will find a selection of Swiss classics such as the Zürcher Geschnetzeltes and Engadiner Barley soup and more unusual combinations such as the beetroot and buffalo mozzarella salad. In the winter, the menu also features some Engadine classics as well as game dishes. Meat lovers are well catered for and Veggie’s will not have to starve either as the menu offers a good number of creative vegetarian dishes. The sheer size of the dishes will leave you with little room for dessert. But if there is, this is certainly the place to indulge! Zuri Girl recommends the Grand Cru Chocolate cake with quince jam –simply heavenly! The list of wines is small but oh my… It only features European wines and you will find some great Italian bottles. Why we love it: Greulich offers the ideal surrounding for an easygoing evening with your hubby or a catch up with your girlfriends.

Indulge in the world of Grappa’s – Greulich offers an excellent choice for all Grappa lovers.
